Happy Birthday Friend

Hello and welcome!

Design Team member Tatiana is here with you today! I’m super excited to be featured on SugarPea Designs blog and to share with you a cheerful and bright friend birthday card!

I’m playing with two wonderful and one of my favorites You’re My Type and Meadow Motifs stamp sets plus some watercolor markers.

To start, I die cut the typewriter and a few floral branches and leaves using the coordinating You’re My Type SugarCut and Meadow Motifs SugarCut. I chose to work on Strathmore Bristol paper since it makes the blending with watercolor markers very easy. Next I stamped the outline images from You’re My Type and Meadow Motifs stamp sets with VersaFine Onyx Black ink since it’s waterproof. Finally I colored all the stamped elements with Tombow markers.

In case you’re wondering, here’s the complete list of all the colors used on this project: TOMBOW n.N79, n.133, n.177, n.835, n.845, n.847.

A regular A2 size card base was prepared from Neenah Solar White paper and embellished with some lovely and kind words from Everyday Sentiments stamp set. I used a very light gray dye ink this time both for stamping and flicking some tiny water droplets on top. Before popping the colored stamps on a foam tape, I added a sentiment from You’re My Type stamp set with the same black ink used previously for stamping. A few clear sparkling sequins added a final touch to this colorful card.

That’s all for today! Hope you like this birthday friend card and give it a try! As always thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!!!

Tatiana
