Geo Floral CoverPlate Hello

Hi there crafty friends! Kerin here sharing two cards I made using the Geo Floral CoverPlate SugarCut Die. I started out with the idea to apply distress oxide inks to the die cut image from the Geo Floral CoverPlate SugarCut Die and create the card above. Once I started blending the inks onto the die cut piece and seeing the amazing pattern it was making underneath, I decided to use the negative image for a second card. Wow, two cards made super simply using the Geo Floral CoverPlate SugarCut Die! The distress oxide inks I used to create my cards were Fossilized Amber, Carved Pumpkin and Worn Lipstick.

I added the Hello SugarCut to each, but I wanted them to “pop” a bit from the busy background so I cut two pieces of card stock using the die, above white and black, and below white and pink. I layered them a little bit “off” so that they would add a bit of an outline, then applied them to my cards using foam tape.

To finish them off I added a bit of sequins from the Pineapple Ice Sparkly Shaker Collection and Princess Sparkly Shaker Collection.
