Hello, Friend

Hope you are having a great week so far and that you have some exciting plans for the upcoming weekend.  My weekend plans are sure to leave me completely exhausted!!  I am the troop leader for a little troop of Daisy Girl Scouts and this weekend my sweet daughter, Brooke and I will along with 5 other 6 year old girls will be going to a Girl Scout Camporee this weekend…WISH ME LUCK!!  LOL

Maybe while we are out in the wilderness we will find a sweet little gnome door like the one found in our SugarPea Designs, Gnome Sweet Gnome stamp set.  Wouldn’t that be so fun?!?   Today, I’m playing along with our very first SugarSketch Challenge.

SPD Gnome Sweet Gnome - Wendy Ramlakhan

For my card, I’ve used the Gnome Sweet Gnome stamp set paired with some older My Mind’s Eye plaid designer paper along with some Smokey Shadow cardstock.  Using a circle die, I  cut directly into the designer paper and used foam tape to pop up the image panel for depth and dimension.  One of the sentiments from the set Gnome Sweet Gnome set was heat embossed using white embossing powder on a fishtail flag.  I added a simple button with twine to finish things off.   This makes for a very CAS and simple and sweet card.   If you’d like to play along as well, you can click HERE or on the sketch on the right sidebar for all the details on how to join in on all the fun.  You could WIN a $5 Gift Certificate to the SugarPea Designs Online Shoppe.

Good morning Wendy … and good luck with your Daisy Girl Scout adventure! I have to admit I am not typically a gnome person. But, your darling design has me looking twice and reconsidering! I love the small details like the cute snail crawling up the side of the roof and the adorable sentiments on the stamp set. Your coloring is always spot-on. Great job, Wendy.
