Hey Winter

Hello my crafty friends, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.
I’m happy to be back to show you my last project as a guest designer for SugarPea Designs.

Do you love rainbows and birthdays as much as I do? Then you will love this colourful card.
The “Hey Winter“ set is perfect for Christmas cards but also for birthdays. It’s just super versatile! But enough said, let’s jump over to see how I made this birthday card.

To begin, I started to cut stripes from some different cardstock and, of course, in rainbow order. I then used some adhesive to adhere all the stripes onto an A2 card panel. I started with a red stripe right at the center of the panel and then worked along till the edges. As I wanted some shine in-between the layers, I also used some silver glitter stripes.

After the card panel was covered with all the stripes I trimmed off the excess.

Next, I stamped the two bears, hats and all the gift boxes. To build a little gift box tower I started by stamping the four bottom boxes. Then, I used some masking paper to cover the first boxes and stamped the next line.

I also used some masking paper to cover the big bear’s hands. That way I could stamp the gift box and it would look like the bear is holding it.

To color all the images I used alcohol markers. I then fussy cut all the images and adhered them onto the card panel using some foam tape.

I used the sentiment “Happy Birthday to you“ from the “Hey Winter“ set and heat embossed it in white on a piece of black cardstock. I tried to keep the sentiment quite simple as I had enough colour. To finish the card, I adhered the finished card onto a white card base.

And that’s it my crafty friends. I really hope you like this card. I also hope you enjoyed all the other projects I have shared with you this month. You can still check them out if you haven’t seen them yet.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I wish you all a wonderful day. Stay safe and healthy.
