____
Our
SugarCut – Terrific Ties is a coordinating die set for our
Terrific Ties stamp set (sold separately).
Paired together you’ll create quick, easy and professional looking packaging and accents.
___________________________________________________________
This die set features 3 different ways to say, “Dad” in a stylishly scripted font. Used alone or paired with stamped sentiments, this is sure to be a well loved addition to your die collection.
For my card, I started with a Navy cardstock base and then added a panel to the center with a piece of grid patterned paper from the *NEW* Sugar & Spice paper pad. After stamping my neck tie in orange ink, I created a dress shirt by rounding the top corners of some white cardstock for shoulders and then creating the collar by cutting a slit and folding each side back. Before adhering the “shirt” to the card front I backed it with SugarPuff to give it depth and dimension. The
SugarCut – Dad Word was cut multiple times from navy cardstock and then glued together to create dimension. To finish things off, I stamped a coordinating sentiment along the bottom right hand corner and added a few enamel dots.

April 11, 2017 at 6:46 amGreat masculine set to celebrate dads!! The thing I remember most about my dad is, a story my mom told me. When my mom was in labor, before he took her to the hospital to have me, he had to shine his shoes. He told my mom his daughter was not going to see him without his shoes shined. I miss him. He was a wonderful man.

April 11, 2017 at 7:59 amGreat stamps and Dies! My dad always worked so hard when I was growing up. One thing he used to do was every weekend he would go to the German bakery and get buns and jelly filled donuts as a treat for us. To this day it is something I still enjoy doing but with my kids now.

He is such a great model and I can only hope my daughters find a husband just like him. Hugs jo

April 11, 2017 at 9:17 amMy Dad is 73 and still gets up every day to go to work, although he tells people he is retired and just likes playing with big trucks. He is a heavy equipment operator, retired from being a well driller.

April 11, 2017 at 9:20 amMy Dad taught me everything from fixing cars to building houses to growing a garden. I was the oldest of mostly girls. I tease and say that he finally realized I’m a girl when he walked me down the isle. He believed I was able to do anything and included me in every job he pursued. Thanks Dad!

April 11, 2017 at 10:34 amI love this sneak peek! Fantastic elements for making masculine cards. My dad taught me to be self sufficient, I got a used car for graduation but if it needed any work (you could work on your own cars back in the day) he told me what needed to be done and then supervised while I did the work. He put a CB radio in it for emergencies (that makes me feel really old, lol)

April 11, 2017 at 10:44 amOh this is so much fun!!! Love it!! My dad was very funny!!! One thing I always remember was that we would start telling you a joke and could NEVER finish it because he himself died laughing!! We all laughed not at his jokes but because of his very contagious laugh! He also has a beautiful smile!!

April 11, 2017 at 11:03 amI love how my Dad really cares about nature. His lives in a pretty rural area, and he is always doing something to care for and protect little animals and birds. He feeds the birds and the crows, hangs corn out for the squirrels, plants milkweed for the monarchs, and even feeds chipmunks peanuts too! He’s amazing that he has so much patience for that too!
Trina P.
April 11, 2017 at 11:28 amMy dad not only survived a major heart attach in 2009 but was lucky enough to be a heart transplant recipient. He’s a fighter and is just enjoying life.

I love how the collar pops up 🙂 My dad has been an educator for 30 years so he obviously has a gift for motivating children. Not only that, but he is one of my biggest supporters and always encourages me to reach my full potential. He lights up any room and he’s super funny too 🙂

April 11, 2017 at 8:23 pmThese are great! When I was a kid, my dad introduced me to John Wayne and we would watch his movies all the time. Now that he has dementia, he doesn’t remember doing that, but I still like to watch with him now, so that I can tell him the stories about it.

My father passed over 13 years ago. I miss him daily. He had a great memory, was very out going and friends with everyone. He always told us kids he loved us and hugged us always. He had a great positive attitude. He would say “I never get sick .. cause it makes me feel bad” I remember him saying my step mom asking if he needed a hearing aid? he would say no I don’t want any lemon-aid.. It makes me laugh when I remember these funny, loving, wonderful man I call my father. Thanks for the warm memories again.

April 12, 2017 at 3:42 amWell, unfortunately my dad passed away from stomach cancer in 2009 at only 57 years old, but I loved his quirky sense of humor . My stepdad has always been more of a father figure for me though since my dad never really got it together financially and didn’t come and see us or call very often, so my stepdad has always been there for my brother and I.

April 12, 2017 at 4:07 amMy dad was so terrific, he was always there for you! One memory I always keep is when I was little, he loved to dance. We would have music on and he and my mom would dance in the living room and then he would dance me around the room on his feet.

April 12, 2017 at 9:18 pmI have a dad and step-dad (since I was 4) and they both were incredible father figures not only to me but to my son when I was a single mother for 7 years.

April 12, 2017 at 9:20 pmThank you for something that honors fathers! One thing my dad taught me was to always learn names of those whose paths I cross more than once because I’m more likely to see them again. It has made such a difference because I’ve been told by janitors and custodians that no one has bothered to even say hi, let alone find out their names. It’s something I adhere to now and will continue to do so. I’m a full grown adult with a job of my own and my now 70 year old dad still asks if I need money for snacks which is always adorable! He also ALWAYS takes time to find the perfect card for his daughters’ birthdays – I would love to finally make a lovely card for him for everything he’s done…

April 12, 2017 at 11:15 pmWhen I was a kid my favorite thing was to sit and watch movies with my dad, especially Abbott and Costello! Today he’s still always willing to watch a movie with me, even the scary ones! And he’s continued the Abbott and Costello tradition with my son! I love all these masculine themed goodies, especially those word dies! Just need to find a Papa one now (what my son calls him).

April 13, 2017 at 2:50 amEverything is special about my Dad. He is kind, caring, gentle, sweet, forgiving, wise, strong Christian man. For over thirty years he worked to protect children who were being abused. He was a wonderful father growing up. As an adult, I see those qualities in my Dad even more. He spends a lot of his day helping me since I have become disabled and helping my older wiener dog who is showing his age. He never complains no matter how many times I ask him for help. He never makes me feel guilty either, even when I know he is tired. He is the most wonderful person I have ever met in my life.

April 13, 2017 at 5:18 pmHi Wendy ~ My Dad was the most wonderful man who shared with his 7 children the gift of laughter. No matter the circumstance, my Dad would tell us that laughter heals. Unfortunately, my father passed away when I was 10 years old but I have THE warmest and most loving memories of a father who always found the time to play with his children, no matter how tired he was. This is a lovely stamp and die set and I love that you’ve kept things so CAS. ~HUGS~

April 13, 2017 at 6:53 pmThe thing that really stand out as something special about my dad was as he would help anyone who needed it. He was very strict with his five kids, now I know it was to instill good character in us! Boy he really mellowed out as he got older and we were no longer at home. He was a pushover with the grandkids! I would have loved to have had this set when he was still here to make a card for him!

April 14, 2017 at 10:22 pmThat’s an amazing set. I get a bit sentimental on Father’s Day as I miss him so much. My dad was everything to me. He was an easygoing person with such an open mind.
