Hi, Lisa here with today’s Light Bulb Moment.
In honor of Cinco De Mayo I have a one layer card using Let’s Fiesta!
Step By Step Instructions
1. I first made my background on my card front by die cutting a piece of cardstock using SugarCut – Harlequin Cover Plate. I arranged the die cut piece off the left and bottom edge a tiny bit then taped all sides with painters tape to hold in place while I sponged on the ink.
2. I used my MISTI to stamp my image from Let’s Fiesta. Since I was not coloring him, I used Versafine Onyx Black ink (this ink is not Copic friendly) to get a nice dark image against my background and the MISTI allowed me stamp multiple times to achieve this.
3. I heat embossed my sentiment on black cardstock using white embossing powder. Made a strip and placed it on my card front.
4. I stamped the same image on the back of my envelope. I just think stamping the envelope makes it more special and Happy Mail from the minute the recipient sees the envelope.
5. I made a liner from copy paper for the inside with a 1/8″ inch border all around. Then I stamped off the image off the bottom corner and added my sentiment. This just completes the look.
One layer card, mail friendly. Whoot Whoot.
Another use for the SugarCut – Harlequin Cover Plate die, a stencil, who knew?
Matching envelope!
