Good morning! Ardyth here and I’m so thrilled to be here, for my first Light Bulb Moments!
Here’s a little introduction from me:
-I live in Toronto, Canada with my husband and 2 teen-age kids
-I’ve been stamping for almost 12 years and have been working with Wendy and the rest of the awesome Design Team here at SugarPea Designs for almost a full year
-I love clean and simple design with lots of white space (but I reserve the right to get messy, too!)
-I love finding new ways to use my stamps, dies and other supplies
Let’s get to the card:
1. Stamp your image as you normally would
2. Flip your stamp over and place it where you want it
(skip this step if you are not using a stamp positioner)
3. Stamp your image onto a solid image stamp
4. Using the impression on the solid image, stamp your mirror-image
5. The mirror-image will not be as crisp as your first impression,
but colouring it in helps to hide that
6. See?
7. Once I cut my focal panel, my branches were hanging in space, so I extended them!
If you are still not happy with the mirror-image, you can outline it with a copic-safe pen
(I didn’t)
Copics:
W1, W3, W4, Y02, Y21, RV10, RV42, C1, C3, Y17, YG25, G07, E57, E59,
B01, B000, BG000, 0

August 4, 2017 at 11:07 amAwesome tutorial! Doing this technique with your MIST was such a fantastic idea. Once coloured the images looked like you used two different stamps–bravo and congratulations on your new feature.

This has been one of my favorite parts of the SugarPea Designs postings.
I love your card, and it is always good to refresh ourselves of tools and techniques we may not have used recently.

August 5, 2017 at 6:20 pmBecause I liked your card so much, I went to the Sugar Pea Designs blog. I checked out the product line, and now I have a “longer than I wanted” Wish List at SPD. The tutorial of how to mirror-image was exciting for me and can hardly wait before putting it into practice. Another thing is I LOVE that cute stamp set of Everyday Is Christmas. It is truly a set that can be used year round. I’ve followed you a long while and you’re quite talented. Thanks for what you do in the card making world.

Tip: Reverse Stamping – Stamping
August 14, 2017 at 6:06 pm[…] Flip your stamps! Do you have a stamp you’d like the reverse of? It’s fun to have the same image facing each other so they can do things like talk or kiss each other. Ardyth with SugarPea Stamps will show you how to do this with a fun reverse stamp technique, click here to learn more. […]
