Hello, Lisa here with my light bulb moment.
Today, I am sharing a fun color book type of card with just a pop of color.
I just love the adult color book craze right now. The other day I even saw one in a hardware store. That is the look I was going for here in this card. I used three stamp sets. Bee My Honey (sentiment, tree and bees), Teacher’s Pet (apple using front and back) and Whatever The Weather (smiley face).
1. I drew a 1/2″ border lightly in pencil (My card base is 5 x 5).
2. Stamped the tree centered with the trunk base on the bottom pencil line.
3. Freehand drew border with ultra fine sharpie, making square then making a second square inside the first with quick strokes, then colored in checks.
4. Lined up the two sentiments on my card first, picking them up with my acrylic block then stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ( I used that for all the black stamping today).
5. Used the back side of my apple to stamp in green and red first. (the stamp may not adhere to acrylic block due to thin lines of image, if this is the case, place on your block to ink up then press on paper with hand repeating to get desired colors).
6. Finished by stamping bees.
We love to see your creations! Just upload them to the SugarPea Designs Facebook Fan Page.

July 1, 2016 at 1:57 pmSuch a fun idea to doodle in a border – I think I could try that – and that technique with the apple is pretty cool too – what a fun way to make the image colored in!! Love the ideas today, thank you!!
