Hi there and welcome to another card making inspiration. Today, I have a mix of black and white paired with a soft pastel color combo.
For this card, I wanted to do the emboss resist technique. First, I arranged the Meadow Motifs flower stamps on my panel until I liked the layout. Then, I stamped them with a clear sticky ink and did some heat embossing with white embossing powder. For my next step, I used Distress Inks and a blending tool to apply color on my panel. The heat embossed parts will stay white and create a beautiful soft look. I added some water and some Distress Ink splatters to make the panel more interesting.
Because the colors are so soft, I wanted to make the flowers on the panel pop a bit more. So I did some diecutting using the Meadow Motifs SugarCuts and adhered them back in place with foam tape. I added a bit of bling using some sequins. I feel like clear sparkly sequins are just wonderful because they pick up the color underneath and blend in perfectly.
I wanted my sentiment to be bold and black, so I stamped it with a crispy ink several times (the MISTI came in super handy here) to make sure it’s really black. To make the card more put together, I added a stripe of black and white washi tape beneath my panel and stamped a small black banner in the upper left corner. The sentiment and the banner stamp are both from the awesome Celebrate All The Things stamp set.
I hope you enjoyed this idea and got inspired to make your own card with a black and white with color project.
Thanks for stopping by!
Have a happy day,
