Summer Nights and City Lights

Hello friends, it’s Kelly here and I am so excited to be sharing my card with you today! I hope you’ve all had a chance to order all of the new products! Aren’t they amazing? I was so happy to know that I would be using the NEW product for today’s feature! I made all of my samples for the release before I went to Disneyland for spring break. I certainly didn’t have Disney on  the brain while I was making this card, but as I was editing the photos, I thought, “Oh my word…I just made a Disney card!” LOL! I think the magic must have seeped in!

Of course this isn’t Disney, it’s the AMAZING  LondonScape SugarCut, all done up in silver glitter! One of my most liked cards from the release featured the ParisScape SugarCut stacked together to create a shadow effect and I couldn’t wait to try it with the London scene as well. I didn’t try to create a shadow like I did with the other, but rather just some added depth.

To begin, I die cut the heart and the two postage dies from the Postage Stamp die collection and then got to work doing some ink blending on the heart and the smaller postage stamp piece as well as the birthday sentiment strip. I gave them all a generous spritz of shimmer spray for some shine.

I used my MISTI for proper placement of the “summer nights and city lights” sentiment which is from the Chic Wishes as well as the ability to stamp it multiple times for a saturated image.

The finishing touch is a few sequins and a scattering of stars for some extra detail! I had so much fun making this card! Thanks for stopping by today!
