Hi peeps! How’ it going? Vera here today to bring you fun project featuring cutie pie from SugarPea Designs.
You know what I love about the card making community? How we can find inspiration from each other. There are so many card makers that I love, whose works continuously inspire me to create. Now, my card today is totally inspired by the one & only Jennifer McGuire’s post HERE. Using her card as inspiration, I created this card.
When I saw her slider card, I immediately want to try it. She’s brilliant, isn’t she?
Now, for my card I used the Lovely Leaves set to create the background. I simply stamped several of the images from the set repeatedly with various soft color ink pads. As usual, I can’t resist soft colors. I like soft color backgrounds as it allows the main image to shine.
Anyway, once I am done with the background, I put it aside and work on the center image. I die cut the banner using my favorite die set, Stitched Flag.
If you notice, the leaves on the bottom of the flag have a continuous look with the background one. To do this, I simply place a piece of acetate and then layered the banner on top of it and carefully stamped the leaves so it matched the ones on the background. I just thought it created a fun and more streamlined look.
Then stamped the rest of the leaves, the monkey and sentiment from Chunky Monkey set. I colored the monkeys and the branch with Copic Markers.

Underneath the slider part, I thought I should add another cutie. After all double cuteness is always a good thing, right?
I love the way this card turned out. Fun, interactive card always make me smile. Now, where do you find your inspiration? Which creative people inspire you?
