Pastel Joyous Easter Gift Boxes

Hi SugarPeeps! It’s Kelly here today sharing some last-minute Easter projects using the adorable Egg Cut-Away Window Die paired with the Easter Wishes stamp set and coordinating Easter Word Die. Nothing says Easter quite like bunnies and baskets, so I’ve combined the two to make some sweet Easter gifts to give to friends or family!

Creating gift packaging with my stamps and dies is one of my favorite things to do. These particular boxes are 5 inches high, 3 3/4 inches wide and 1 1/2 inches deep. I just use the scoring blade on my paper trimmer, but you could also use a scoring board as well. The green piece measures 3 1/2 inches wide and 4 3/4 inches tall. It is the perfect size to die cut the egg. I added it to the box using foam squares to give it some dimension.

I love how it looks popped up; like the little bunny can just hop through! The bunny was die cut using the die that is included with the Egg Cut-Away Window die. The stamp set also includes the bunny image, but I just simply die cut it from cardstock and layered it twice to give it some stability. I added a tiny white pom pom to the bunny’s tail using a hot glue gun.

The Easter word is die cut twice; once out of white cardstock and once out of a gold specialty paper. I glued them together using liquid glue and then glued them carefully to the green egg portion. The word is light enough that it floats above the negative space. I also heat embossed the “wishing you a joyous” sentiment in gold to coordinate with the Easter word. It added to the box using foam squares as well.

I added a quick handle using glue dots and then hot glued a purple polka dot bow on the side. I don’t use ribbon like I used to, but Easter is definitely the time for polka dots and bows! The finishing touch is a trio of sparkling clear sequins. I also spritzed it with Shimmer Spray for some added sparkle. Thanks so much for stopping by today!
