Sending Lots of Love

Hello, Sugar Peeps! It’s Kelly here today! I’m excited to be sharing a few Valentine’s Day inspired projects! Every year for Valentine’s Day I make a batch or two of chocolate covered strawberries They are so easy and everybody seems to really enjoy them! I package them up on silver trays from the dollar store wrapped with cellophane, ribbon, and of course a hand-stamped tag! For this project, I made 6 identical tags. Once they were finished, I thought the tag design would look great on a card, so I’ll be sharing how I created the card as well!

Each tag was die cut using the Snowflake Tag Sugar Cut and stamped at the top using the striped image from the Christmas Tag Greetings stamp set in black ink. I also stamped the flower image in black at the bottom using the Pretty Peonies stamp set. I also used this same set for the white flowers on the heart die cut.

I stamped the “sending” sentiment, which is from the Sending sentiments stamp set, directly onto the heart. The “lots of love” portion is stamped onto a. white strip and adhered using foam squares. I also added some extra color by spritzing some ink onto the strips. Each tag has a coat of Shimmer Spray and a trio of clear rhinestones for shine!

As I mentioned earlier, I ended up really liking these tags and knew it would make a great focal point on a card! Let me share with you the few steps I took to create this card!

I chose to bring in more of the Kraft color for the base. I did cut a panel using the Card Front Element Builder and adhered it to the card base. I also die cut the postage stamp sugar cut (linked above) in white. I love the stitching detail that both the Kraft and postage stamp piece add to tie in the stitching on the heart.

I chose not to thread any ribbon or twine through the hole on the tag, but you could definitely add that to bring in some additional texture! I can’t wait to use this set of tags to dress up my strawberries!
