Sentiments Strip Congrats

Hello! How are you today? I was looking at the Sentiments Strips dies and wanted to do something more creative with the dies than just use them to create the strips to stamp sentiments onto. I came up with a patchwork vibe using them as the feature.

I made the job twice as difficult for myself by die cutting the pattern out of the white layer. Once I’d die cut a load of coloured cardstock strips, I arranged them onto the layer that I’d backed with a solid piece of cardstock. Adding them with foam pads gave them real dimension but I realised I should have simply added the strips onto a panel – it would have been much quicker!!

I wanted to add a sentiment and chose the lovely scripty Congrats Word die. I die cut it twice, offsetting them and then adhering to a piece of vellum. All that was left was to add some tiny stars to help break up the design. They are also amazing at hiding any little specks of dirt that somehow find themselves onto the card!

This is a super simple idea, and there are so many other things you could do with the shapes in this set. What could you create with them? Thanks for being with me today and hope you find a little time to be creative.
