Why Fit In When You Were Born to Stand Out?

Tracey here today sharing another card using the new Summer Release Products!

Summer is finally here and I am always looking for some fun summer themed cards to say hello, or thank you or happy birthday.

I started out by creating my own background paper, stamping tone on tone, using the new Tropic Like It’s Hot clear stamps. Then I smooshed a piece of white Bristol Smooth cardstock into two shades of Distress Oxide inks on my craft mat that I spritzed first with water. I dried the layer with my heat tool and then smooshed it again.  I also flicked a bit of water on it to add even more dimension. I cut my circle out from it with one of the Zig Zag Stitched Circles. The sentiment from Let’s Flamingle was stamped onto the circle and then added to the centre of the card with foam tape. Next the fern from Tropic Like It’s Hot and die cut with the Tropic Like It’s Hot SugarCuts. I adhered the fern to the edge of the circle. I stamped and die cut the Flamingo from Let’s Flamingo and then die cut it from the Let’s Flamingle SugarCuts. It was also adhered over the ferm using foam tape.
