With Heartfelt Sympathy

Hi peeps! Vera here today. How’s it going? Hopefully by now you have some of our new release in your hands and you are creating a storm with them. Or maybe they’re still on the way. Either way, how about some more inspiration for the new goodies?

I love working with flowers and the new Pretty Peonies set is hard to resist, so naturally my card today is using this set.

I want to achieve soft look for this card and keep that in mind as I work on my card. Start by die-cutting the background using the Large Striped Cover Plate and adhere them to the card base. Then the fun part, stamp, color and cut out the flowers and arrange on the card base.

I curved the flowers a bit to create dimension and adhere them to the card, part directly to the card using regular adhesive and the other part popped with pop dots. I often prefer to do this rather than pop everything. It create extra depth in my opinion. Die cut the sentiment using Sympathy dies and stamp the sentiment from one of the sentiment from Heartfelt Sympathy set.

Granted, sympathy card is not the type of card we like to make, but I find making them when I don’t need it is easier then when I actually need it.
