You’re A Wicked Good Friend

Hi peeps! How’s it going? Vera here today. I hope you enjoyed our fall release celebration this previous week. So many fantastic & fun sets, right?

Now, during the release, I didn’t get a chance to play with the Bewitched set. Today, I am fixing that and made this fun & sweet Halloween card.

For the background, I used some alcohol ink on Yupo paper. I dropped some alcohol ink on a felt pad with a drop of gold mixative and swiped it back and forth. Well, I had all the intention of photographing my process, but once I got going, I was so focused on making the card, I completely forgot. 🙁

Seriously, it scares me sometime how easily I can forget things that I just meant to do a few minutes ago. Has that ever happened to you? Not fun. Sometimes this gets me in trouble. Sigh…

Anyway, with the background done, I put it aside to work on the images. I stamped the cute witch and cat from Bewitched and the dragon and bat from Darling Dragons set. Colored & die cut them. From the Hocus Pocus die set, I die cut and colored the cauldron and the bubbles.

Then I arranged everything on the colored background panel. You will see on the Darling Dragon set that this dragon has his own cauldron. I simply trimmed it off and put the dragon behind the die-cut cauldron. In person, there’s a variety of depth on this card. The dragon was adhered directly to the panel, the cauldron with thin foam adhesive and the witch with thick foam adhesive.

I adhered the panel to the card base, added the sentiment & finished the card by adding some glossy accent to the green soup & bubbles. I really like these bubbles! I can see myself using them for non Halloween projects.

There you go, wicked sweet & fun Halloween card! Hah… I am not into scary thing, so this is totally up my alley. That’s all from me today. Hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration, and thank you for stopping by! Cheersssss…..
