With today’s introductions you will find No Tricks, Just Treats!
This bewitching stamp set will have you under its spell. The three darling witches (in three different poses) are accompanied by a feline friend, candy bucket and hat accessory. For today’s introductions I have three cards that have turned out to be my favorites from this release, mostly because I LOVE HALLOWEEN!! Love it. I love dressing up, I love the decorations and all of the fun that goes along with it.
I started my card by using a circle die to create a mask for the moon and then sponged a night sky background with Distress Oxide Inks. When I was happy with the blending, I used a paint brush to tap a few water droplets onto the background to create craters on the moon and then splattered Hero Arts White Unicorn spray for stars. I stamped a sentiment from Darling Dragons stamp set with Hero Arts Intense Black and then sprinkled it with WOW Clear Embossing Powder to create a glossy finish.
I absolutely love the new SugarCut – Star Dust die and knew I wanted to create the effect that the little witch was creating a trail of stars behind her as she flew through the sky. I was careful to keep all of the cut pieces so that I could inlay them back onto the card front. The 3 bats were cut with SpookyScape die and popped up with foam tape for dimension. Using Copic markers, I colored up my image from Bewitched which I then cut out with the coordinating die. I mounted the image to the card front with foam tape.
For my next card samples, I went about creating a set of “Hello” cards using die cuts only. Both cards took mere minutes to create and put together.
I started by running the Hocus Pocus die multiple times through my die cutting machine with black, green, teal and silver glittered cardstock. I sponged a small area with Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide ink to create a focal point for the cauldron and witches hats. A small strip of pattern paper from Spots & Stripes Bright paper pad was added along the bottom along with a thin strip of silver glittered cardstock. The Hello die was cut multiple times in both black and green cardstock so that I could create a shadow of color behind my greeting.
I stamped sentiments from Darling Dragons onto the die cut pieces of the witches hat and cauldron and heat embossed them in white. I added a few Clear Nuvo Drops for interest. The Hocus Pocus die is just so much fun! I love it’s size and versatility. All of the elements look great used on their own and together with stamped images. I have of plans to use this die set again soon to create treat tags for Halloween goodie bags.
