A Perfectly Sweet Blog Hop

Today, the SugarPeas are teaming up with the Perfect Paper Crafting design team to bring you a fabulous blog hop that filled with SugarPea Designs stamp sweetness and crafting tools from our friends at Perfect Paper Crafting.

SugarPea Designs - Totes Ma Goats by Wendy Ramlakhan

I’m a huge fan of the Perfect Layers tool and use it on most every card I create and my card today is no exception.  Using the 1/16″ side of the Perfect Layers ruler I achieved perfectly matted layers on my card with one of my favorite stamp sets from our recent release, Totes Ma Goats.  I created this card to give to my Mom for her birthday.  SugarPea Designs offers many feminine stamps but I wanted to challenge myself to make what most would see as a more masculine stamp set into a fun girlie creation.  I colored the two baby goats from the stamp set in soft neutral tones (representing my sister and myself).  I stamped the “trash” accessory image from the set using Kraft ink and popped up each of the goats with foam tape.  I then used papers from My Mind’s Eye, a simple tag die, a gorgeous bit of pink silk ribbon, a paper doily and a few enamel dots to make things complete.

I finished the inside as well…it’s kind of the best part if you ask me – although my sister didn’t think so.  LOL  I am head over hoofs with how this card turned out and had the hardest time actually giving it to my Mom.  But knowing she will have it on display FOREVER made it a little easier letting it go.  Even as a grown up its such a good feeling to know that your mom will proudly display your works of heART! xoxo

Love that the inside of the card is embellished as well as the outside. I never think to do that. My bad.

How cute!! Those baby goats are adorable! Love your layout AND the inside. I can see why your sister wasn’t very excited about it. : ) And, yes, my mom has several of the cards I have made her hanging on her fridge. Some things never change.
