Hello crafters! It’s Adelle here today sharing a card featuring the Hey Honey stamp set. I love using vibrant, energizing colors in the summer and this card may very well require the recipient put on their sunglasses.
To begin, I stamped the bear and the hive on masking paper, stamped onto some Neenah Solar White #110 cardstock and applied the masks on top. I used several Catherine Pooler inks (Melon Ice, Garden Party, and Lime Rickey) to blend the background and then used the Honeycomb stencil in random areas to create a light pattern.
I colored the bear and beehive with Copic markers (bear: E57, E55, E53, E51, E41, E42, T7, T5, T3, hive: Y26, Y06, Y13, leaves: TG25, YG23, YG21) and then cut several hexagons from yellow cardstock using the Stacked Honeycomb SugarCut.
After assembling, I accented the card with Glossy Accents for the bear’s nose and added shimmer to the yellow hexagons using Tonic Aqua Shimmer Pen in Midas Touch (gold).
