Hey SugarPeeps! Welcome back on the blog for some inspiration!
We’re extremely happy to introduce with you all yet another guest designer on our team for the entire month: Sara Zoppi! Here’s a little bit she shares about herself and her very first project with us!
Hi, my name is Sara, I am 29 years old and I come from the north of Italy.
Since I was a child, I have always loved coloring and creating things. About 5 years ago, while I was studying Engineering at University, I discovered the “magical” world of stamps and dies and I instantly fell in love with them. I started collecting stamps of many brands, I especially love critters and cute designs. Coloring and crafting is my way to escape from the daily routine and I really love making cards and creating scenes. I usually color with alcohol based markers, I love them! When I am not creating, I am working for school, as I am a teacher.
In 2018 I created my Instagram account (@le_cosebelle_di_sara) where I started sharing my creations. I love the crafty world, I virtually “met” a lot of talented crafty friends and I got inspired by them.
Today I will show you my first card, which is fall themed. I love this season so much, I love the colors of the nature. As you may know, I love critters ad the Sugar Pea seasonal bears really stole my heart. I just had to have them!
To create my card, I firstly stamped the “Hey Fall” images on a piece of Alcohol friendly paper and I colored them with copics. On a different 5”x5” piece of paper, I created a really simple forest background, using greens, yellows and brown markers. I wanted to create a simple scene to set the adorable bear and his friend the squirrel.
I die cut the stamped images using coordinating dies and I arranged them to my square scene. I realized I didn’t like it, there was too much empty space. So I had the idea to create a circle window on a white paper (you can use any kind of round dies or you can cut it with a circular cutter) and I layered it between the background and my protagonists. I really loved the result! To complete the card, I added the sentiment which comes from “Autumn Blessings”: I stamped it with brown ink and I added some white shades. I also matted the whole scene using a piece of 5,25”x5,25” Desert Storm cardstock. And here’s a closer look of the scene I created.
I really hope you will like my first inspiration! I will be back in a week for another one!
Hugs from Italy,
Sara
