Merry Maker

Hello my crafty friends and happy Monday!
Today I’m showing you a very simple one layer Christmas card. I really like these three elves from the “Merry Maker“ stamp set and I wanted them on one panel as they look like they are working. Aren’t they just cute? But enough said, let’s jump over to see how I made this simple one layer Christmas card.

To begin, I cut a sheet of heavyweight white cardstock down to an A2 card panel. I then started to stamp all the different elves of the “Merry Maker“ stamp set with some black ink. I tried to stamp them a bit offset, so it looks like they are moving a bit on the card.

After everything was stamped and of course dry, I started to color everything using some alcohol markers. It’s the first time I colour everything on the card panel that I will use, so I had to take care to stay within the lines.

I really tried to keep the colours very simple and festive. Just some green here and some red there and the little elves came to life. I also added some shadows under every elf. I stamped the sentiment also from the “Merry Maker“ set in black and heat embossed it with some clear embossing powder to give it some shine. To finish the card, I adhered the finished panel onto a piece of dark grey cardstock and then onto a white card base.

And that’s it my crafty friends. I really hope you like this cute and simple card and I can’t wait to see you next week with another project.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I wish you all a wonderful day. Stay safe and healthy.
