Ready, Set, Blow!

Hello, Lisa here today with my Light Bulb Moment.

I have a fun and unique Get Well tissue box card to share with you.

This card looks like a tissue box.

 It stands on its own.

And folds up flat to mail.

(Just make sure the recipient knows to fold the card back and forth a little to get it to stand after being in the envelope for awhile)

I started with a 4 1/4 by 11″ piece of cardstock and scored from the left along the long side

at 4 1/4, 5 1/4, 9 1/2 and 10 1/2 then folded all the score lines with my bone folder.

Next, I used a piece of SPD’s Patterned Paper Collection from the It’s A Celebration pack.

I cut a 4 1/4 x 4 1/4″ panel for the front and a 4 1/4 x 1″ panel for the top and adhered them to the card base.

I cut the slot for the tissue using the rounded slot die from SugarCuts – Layered Treat Labels die set from the top of the card.

I cut a piece of regular tissue in half, put through the slot to my liking then adhered using the double sided tape across it (leaving the red plastic strip on).  I trimmed off the excess.  Then adhered the little tab to the inside of the card back!

Lastly, I cut a label using SugarCuts – Layered Treat Labels die and heat embossed the cute and fun sentiment from Blow Me Away.  I adhered it flat to the card front keeping it mail friendly.
