As some of you may know, “SugarPea” is my daughter, Brooke’s nickname. And yesterday was her 10th Birthday, so I created this card for her.
I have had so many favorite stamp and SugarCut die sets over the last four years, that I spent hours just trying to decide which ones I wanted to create with for this hop. I ended up going with a little bit of new and old, which thrilled my heart to see just how seamlessly our products work together.
I started by choosing a palette of blue/green/yellow inks and got to stamping the balloons from Bring On The Cake onto a white cardstock panel. I didn’t worry about any overlap as that was helping to give the illusion that the balloons were transparent. I then cut the white panel with the Card Front Element Builder stitched corner edge die at a diagonal and layered it onto a teal card base.
Next, I die cut multiple You word dies from a lime green cardstock and mounted it to the card front. I paired the word die with a stamped sentiment from, Sweet Sentiments – You. I couldn’t resist adding an adorable little monkey from Chunky Monkey which I colored with Copics and adhered with foam tape. And to finish things off, I randomly added a few Nuvo drops for “confetti”.
