Guest Designer ~ Ashley Ebben

Hello everyone! It’s Ashley back today with a new guest post for SugarPea Designs! Ever since the coronavirus outbreak started, I’ve been trying to spread some random kindness by leaving thank you cards for the people that deliver my family’s groceries and packages. They are risking going to the stores so I don’t have to, and I think it’s nice to acknowledge them when I’m able. So, for my card today, I made a thank you card and added the Floral Pocket Tag as a gift card holder!

I started by stamping the “big hugs” sentiment from You’re My Type in light gray ink repeatedly on white cardstock. I stamped twice before reinking to create some variation of color. I trimmed this piece down on each side and added it to a dark gray card base. I die cut the Floral Pocket Tag from white cardstock and assembled it with strong adhesive before adding it to my card with more strong tape.

I die cut the type writer from You’re My Type from yellow and dark gray cardstock. I stamped “thank you” from the You’re My Type stamp set in black before threading it through the typewriter and adding the whole piece to the card. I stamped the gnomes and coffee cups from Gnome for Christmas in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics before fussy cutting them out. I added them to the card and popped a few up with foam tape.

All that’s left is to tuck in the gift card! I like to give $5 Starbucks gift cards as an extra thank you and this pocket is the perfect holder! Hopefully it gives someone a smile!

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!
