I have been wanting a die like this for YEARS!! I love the convenience of giving gift cards, but dislike how impersonal they feel. I also love tucking little stamped notes into my kids lunch boxes but wanted something a little more snazzy than a post it note. Meet Stitched Note & Gift Card Holder!! Decorating the panels is so much fun. I love how you can add lots of accents or keep it simple, either way you can’t go wrong. I designed all the sentiments in the Gift Greetings stamp set to be used together with the SugarCuts – Note & Gift Card Holder die but they are also great to use on cards or other paper crafting projects.

I can now be creative and stress-free by joining the gift card giving masses, or create my own kind of gift card too (a dozen hugs, breakfast in bed, favorite movie at home, etc.).

I definitely enjoy choosing (or better yet, MAKING them!!) gifts for people more, but since so many folks are difficult to shop for, I find myself giving gift cards more these days, I even have relatives and friends who specifically tell me they prefer receiving gift cards because they have been eyeing specific things at stores. Even I am guilty of this – hubby knows gift cards to Michaels, AC Moore, JoAnn’s and Hobby Lobby are always received with a ‘Yaay!’ jumping up and down and lots of kisses. 😉

I like the size – bigger than just the size of a gift card (which I already have a die for) because when you give it to someone, you want it to have some substance… the size is prefect. About gifts vs gift cards, I love finding the perfect gift for someone but sometimes it is really best to give the card. Gift cards are a great option for family members who live in another state. I don’t know what they already have or what they are wanting. A gift card allows them the option to pick something they truly want.

I make 50 Christmas gift cards (you heard me right!) 50. Twenty five for my parents and 25 for my MIL as they don’t shop anymore so this is what they do in lieu of presents! I on the other hand HATE shopping and prefer “playing” in my craftroom instead. I like making and giving gift cards. I get to do what I enjoy and my family gets to buy what they want! A win-win in my books!

I love giving gift cards, especially to my UPS driver, mailman and paper “boy” at Christmas time but have always disliked the impersonal gift card holders sold in stores so have simply been sticking them in a regular Christmas card (and have worried about them getting lost that way). This is a must, must, must!! On top of that, today is release day!! YAY YAY YAY!!! Awesome release and it goes live in just a little more than 4 hours. I make a lot of small cards, for my daughter, she uses them to give gift cards to her customers and my grandsons teachers. In fact, I just sent her a box of 25. Using this die would be so much better, one shot, card and envelope – DONE… Love it!
