Happy Friday! Ardyth here with the next Light Bulb Moment!
I just can’t get enough of these images from Monster Mash, so I made another Halloween card this week! This week, I created a simple night sky (but with a spooky glow!) and used one of our newest dies in a way the designer never imagined!
I started by cutting a mask using the With Love Tag SugarCut out of a sticky note. I blended my grave-stone using Pumice Stone Distress Ink. Then I masked that, and started on my sky. I had some trouble getting my mask to stick (because the ink was still wet) so I had to hold it in place. I think that next time, I might try blending the sky first and then the grave-stone.
The first colour I used for my sky was Twisted Citron – this is what gives the ‘glow’. I then blended Salty Ocean, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot around the edges.
I made my ghosts extra ghostly by embossing them in white on vellum. One of the DT Members did this during release week, and I think it is so clever! They’re extra spooky when they’re translucent, don’t you think?
I stamped my grave-stone’s inscription in black, using a mix of the sentiments included in this adorable Halloween set.
